During this project, we get into a group of four, and we pick two systems to build together, to represent visually, and verbally. We worked on this project for about 3 - 4 weeks. The first week, we researched our systems to find some background information on them. Our second week we started to find our materials for each system. The third and fourth week we were building and was creating a presentation to explain the digestive and excretory system.
For my group, we split ourselves in order to make this process to go a little faster. Brittany Fung and I created the excretory system while Juan Casteneda and Cais Wang made the digestive system. The excretory system, we drew out the vein(blue) and the artery(red) in which connects to the heart. The vein and the artery has blood that flows into the kidneys(water bottles). The blood goes into the kidneys and gets filtered, and all the unnecessary fluids and liquids continues through the ureter(tubes). Continues and finishes through the bladder(the ends of the water bottles), and gets released through the urethra.
For the digestive system, Juan Casteneda and Cais Wang worked on this system. In this system, this is when it digests the food and extracts the nutrients. There are four major tissue types, Epithelial, Muscle, Nervous, and Connective that help move the food through the body. It's also organized by different organs such as your mouth, esophagus, stomach, and your large/small intestines.

The Digestive System is the part in which you digest and extract the nutrients in your food. How it works is by using your muscles to move the food through the body. This contains four major tissue types: Connective, Nervous, Muscle, and Epithelial. This contains many types of cells, for example like goblet cells. It's organized by the different organs, like the esophagus, stomach, large/small intestines, and mouth.
The Excretory System is the blood that comes from the vein and the artery goes to the kidneys. The kidneys filters the blood by taking out unnecessary liquid. While this happens, the excess liquid travels through the ureter, then into the bladder, which it holds urine. It then releases the liquid and goes into urethra.

Reflection:
Overall, I feel like we should've collaborated more as a group. We split up more and didn't really collaborate as much as a group. Most of the time, we were in our pairs(Brittany and I, Juan and Cais) Since both of our systems didn't really match or go together very much, there was no way of really communicating anything. Also, I feel like my partner and I could've researched more on our system. When we started talking about our cells and tissues, we didn't really know how to explain it, we were just overall very confused. The things we should work on is our communication and our research.
