In this project, we had to make three instruments, from three categories: string, wind, and chime. In my group, we made a harp, flute, and xylophone. Before we could start building, we had to make blueprints, including the octave, wavelengths and notes that each instrument played.
Content:
Wavelength- distance from crest to crest of a wave (velocity/frequency)
Amplitude- height/size of wave, determines volume in the sound
Frequency- rate at which waves pass per second (velocity/wavelength)
Period- time per wave (inverse of frequency)
Velocity- rate at which a wave moves (distance/time)

Reflection: As a group, we collaborated very well! We, as a group worked together together and got to learn more while in the process. Many other groups, split up and worked individually. Everyone in the group contributed with ideas and were able to complete them well. We all checked each instrument and adjusted as needed.
