Our final project was about saving the trees. In this project, we had the choice to pick our groups and our problem for the world that we could fix using biotechnology. There was multiple steps to decide. The first step was that me and my group members had to research 6 challenges that we face in the world and find solutions for all of them. Then, as a whole group, we chose one topic to find more solutions about, while having 2 backups just in case. Step two, we created a poster, to represented and explained our solutions that we came up with as a group. As we finished the poster, the rest of the groups go around to give us feedback in order to make our slideshow better. For the rest of the time, we had to work on our project to make it the best as possible.
My group decided to do deforestation, we emailed a person who was an expert of deforestation to help us investigate more and find more solutions. Unfortunately, we could not get in contact with them, so we decided to plants trees around Novato.

Carbon cycle:
Deforestation: action of clearing an huge area of trees
Greenhouse gases: gas that contributes to the greenhouse by absorbing infrared radiation
Biotechnology: exploration of biological processes of industrial and other purposes
Atmosphere: envelope of gases surrounding planets
Reflection:
Overall, this group I've been with, I've been with for two-three projects. This project was simple, and my group was always one step ahead of everyone else. I personally believe that my group could've done better, but since it was our last project, we were more laid back and didn't put in much effort as we usually do. I although learned very good solutions such as planting more trees around deforest areas, but we could've found more successful solutions than that. In conclusion, I loved this group and working with them, but we could've done more research and put more work into things.
I worked on this project with Brittany Fung, Matt Cassidy, and Joell Vaca.
